What time should I book the Tsukiji & Ginza tour?
The morning session starting at 9:00 AM is strongly recommended. Tsukiji Outer Market is at its freshest and liveliest early in the morning, with most stalls closing by 2:00 PM.
Is Tsukiji Outer Market still open?
Yes! Only the inner wholesale market moved to Toyosu in 2018. The outer market with 460+ shops, restaurants, and food stalls remains fully open.
What dietary restrictions can you accommodate?
We can accommodate most dietary restrictions including vegetarian, pescatarian, halal, and common allergies. Let us know when booking and we'll plan the food stops accordingly.
How many people can join the tour?
Our private tours accommodate 1-6 people per group. The per-group pricing means larger groups get better value per person.
What's the cancellation policy?
Cancel 7 or more days before the tour (Japan time) for a full refund. 3 to 6 days before, a 50% refund. Less than 72 hours, no refund. The full policy is on the cancellation page.
What happens if it rains?
Tours run rain or shine. The route shifts toward covered streets and indoor stops. Cancellation is only for severe weather warnings (typhoon or similar official alerts). In that case it's a full refund or a new date.
Can we bring children?
Yes. Families with children of all ages book these tours regularly. Routes are mostly flat and pram-friendly. Pace and stops adjust so younger travelers can keep up.
Is it a problem if someone in the group has tattoos?
Walking tours have no tattoo restriction. Some onsen and public baths in Japan do not allow visible tattoos. If the group wants a bath stop, mention it when you inquire so the itinerary can use a facility that accepts tattoos.
Can the tour work around dietary restrictions?
Yes, if you mention them when you inquire. Vegetarian, vegan, halal, gluten-free, and common allergies can be planned for.
Where do we meet?
The meeting point is confirmed when the booking is set: a hotel lobby, a nearby station, or another easy landmark in central Tokyo. Each tour page lists a usual starting station.
